He is a member of the American Bar Association's Forum on the Construction Industry and Dispute Resolution and Tort, Insurance & Litigation Sections, as well the Utah State Bar's Construction Law and Dispute Resolution Sections.

Craig received his Bachelor of Science (Civil Engineering) and Juris Doctorate degrees from the University of Utah in 1977 and 1980, respectively. He has been a practicing attorney since 1980 and, since 1985, a mediator/arbitrator, an Adjunct Professor of Architecture and Civil Engineering at the University of Utah, and General Counsel to AIA Utah and Special Counsel to ACEC Utah.

For several years running, Craig has been honored by his peers as:

  • AV Preeminent® by Martindale-Hubbell®
  • a Mountain States Super Lawyer® by Law & Politics ®
  • one of Utah's Legal Elite® in Utah Business Magazine®

When he’s not practicing law for a living you can still find him practicing law pro bono in some high-profile public interest cases, including two lawsuits, now on appeal to the Utah Supreme Court following successful trials, that seek to restore public access to Utah’s rivers and streams, and an ‘actual innocence’ case in Nevada involving an 19 year-old individual wrongly convicted of murder in 1995.

This may well be our biggest set of information ever offered at a meeting!!  Thanks to Mr. Bill Coburn - Spearfish BHFF board member!
